There are a vast number of applications for hypnotherapy to help patients with psychological and physiological symptoms. The aim is to manage and alleviate symptoms and promote wellbeing.
There is a range of training options which are ideal for healthcare professionals, medics and those in allied health professions. A point to note, is that whilst training can be provided via Zoom if preferred to in-person, this will have an impact on the types of certifications available.

This training is ideal for those who have an interest in hypnotherapy and would like to explore whether it would be helpful to progress on to practitioner training.
As this is bespoke training, the course content can be tailored (in advance) to suit the needs of the group.
Attendance
Where the participant has not attended all of the taught sessions, the attendance certificate will indicate the actual number of hours attended.
Certification
An attendance certificate is provided.
Duration
The course content and duration can be tailored (in advance) to suit to the needs and interests of the group. Training duration commonly ranges from one to four days.
Fees
A daily whole group rate for onsite at the booker’s location will include any necessary travel and accommodation. Where training is provided at HypnoTC’s venue, room hire rates will be included in the fee.
Manual
Participants receive detailed course manuals.
Support
Participants will also receive peer and tutor support via a WhatsApp group.
This course format is ideal for individuals or small groups of healthcare professionals and those who wish to undertake practitioner-level training monthly, on weekends in a mixed group. This gives the added benefit of interacting with a more diverse range of learners.
Certification
All course attendees are eligible to receive three certifications, subject to completion of the course requirements:
Duration
The Diploma course has in-person attendance, one weekend a month over 10 months and has 330 hours of home study, of which 165 hours is independent study. This means you can use the time in a way that is most relevant to you.
Fees
Healthcare professionals are welcome to join our public Professional Hypnotherapy Diploma course, starting in the Spring and Autumn each year. Where there is a need to have their employer pay for their course, we are happy to raise an invoice. We suggest that healthcare professionals do please apply early to allow time for their employer to pay the invoice in full, prior to the start of the course.

Resources
Course participants have access to the HypnoTC Student Learning Centre resources, including 80+ training videos, as well as membership of the HypnoTC student forum
Support
Participants will also receive peer and tutor support via a WhatsApp group.
This course format is ideal for groups with different roles or specialisms who would like training to practitioner level.
As this is course is solely for your group, the theory relating to conditions, such as pain, can be reduced (where there is prior knowledge within the group), allowing time for greater emphasis on practical skill development. The theory content will remain in the course manuals for participants to read as desired.

All course attendees are eligible to receive three certifications, subject to completion of the course requirements:
Duration
The complete Professional Hypnotherapy Diploma course can be taught on weekdays, on the employer’s site (or other chosen location), with the same content and qualifications as the public course. The required 120 hours in-person training can be provided as the standard 20 days, or with longer days if more intensive training is desired, or with shorter days if a longer timeframe is needed. The attended training and the additional 330 hours study is normally expected to be completed within 2 years.
Fees
A total group course fee can be provided. The booker is responsible for organising the course payment prior to the course and for providing a teaching room of a suitable size for the class and for practical activities. Depending on location, the course fee will include travel and accommodation costs.

A bespoke format allows a healthcare team or group of specialisms to receive highly-focused practitioner-level training. Greater depth and emphasis can be added to some elements of the Diploma syllabus .

The chosen syllabus will still need to meet the requirements of the UK Core Curriculum for all course attendees to be eligible to receive three certifications, subject to completion of the course requirements:

This training option is most suited to those who have a focused interest in a particular field, such as pain management.
Prior to the training, a skills, knowledge and needs assessment will enable the course content to be created (in advance) in response to the specific needs of participants.
Where requested, an analysis of relevant research is provided in addition to participants’ course manuals.
Common topics chosen for specialist training are within the Diploma syllabus. However, additional techniques and applications, such as working with formal hypnotherapy and conversational hypnosis in emergency situations, can be provided as desired.
Attendance
This training can be provided in-person or online.
Where a participant’s attendance had not reached the total learning hours, the actual hours attended will be displayed on the attendance certificate.
