GHSC Accredited Training
We are pleased to announce that our Hypnotherapy Diploma course has been accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
The GHSC promote the ethical promotion and advancement of hypnotherapy as a profession in its own right, in a similar way to other taking therapies such as psychotherapy, counselling and clinical psychology.
They are working towards hypnotherapy having a place in a branch of psychological medicine, with registered practitioners recognised as professionals.
Is accreditation important?
When you are looking for a hypnotherapy training school, you will find that there is a vast range to choose from. Online, in-person and blended styles, and duration ranging from a day or two, to several years (when added into other talking therapies such as counselling).
One factor that can make your choice easier, is whether or not the training provider is accredited by reputable organisation (not just an in-house/sister organisation.
When an outside organisation inspects a training provider, they are looking for evidence of meeting defined standards. This will most definitely explore content covered, in terms of knowledge and skill development. It will also how the hypnotherapy school operates, how they teach and even what support they offer their students.
Accreditation will often include an initial inspection, and then a period review to ensure that standards are maintained.
For a hypnotherapy school, accreditation is a form of recognition that they are on track and it can highlight particular areas of good practice. It can also help a business develop, by illuminating any areas where they could develop to better achieve the desired standards.
Benefits of GHSC Accredited Training
Practitioners who meet the standards of the GHSC, once trained, can join the General Hypnotherapy Register, which is a superb tool for the public to use when seeking a hypnotherapist who is sufficiently trained.
In addition, those who meet the standards of the GHSC and GHR are eligible for registration with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

The GHSC have detailed validation criteria and a rigorous assessment process for training schools. In addition, they have a though code of ethics and a complaints and disciplinary procedure. This means that students can be reassured they are studying on a course which has been thoroughly evaluated and which has defined standards to adhere to. It also means that training recognised by the GHSC will been recognised within the profession.
